Surprisingly or not, the reverb sounds very good and it works equally well for emulating small rooms and huge acoustic spaces. The plugin also features a built-in preset manager (no factory presets), as well as undo/redo and A/B testing functionality. It’s not possible to alter the tone and size of the reverb in any way, apart from changing them simultaneously using the knob. The knob controls the size and tone of the reverb (from a tiny bright space to a larger, darker space), whereas the slider controls the mix. So, how does it work? You get just a single knob, joined by a slider at the bottom of the user interface. Of course, the fact that the plugin is easy to use wouldn’t mean anything if it sounded bad, but luckily Reverb SOLO is a very well made and pleasant sounding reverb effect.
I’ve always been a big fan of simple one-knob plugins (as long as they do the job well), so it’s no wonder that I find the idea of an easy to use one-knob reverb effect rather appealing.
